Interior Painting
& Finishing

Clean lines, smooth walls, and a finish that actually lasts — prep done right, paint applied properly, no shortcuts.

What We Do

Paint That
Lasts

A good paint job starts before the brush ever touches the wall. Proper prep — filling holes, sanding, taping, priming — is what separates a finish that looks great for years from one that starts peeling within months.

We take the time to do it right. Every surface is prepped, every edge is cut clean, and we apply minimum two coats on all surfaces. We leave the space clean and the finish sharp.

Why It Matters Here

Calgary's Climate
Is Tough on Paint

High UV & Altitude

At 1,048 metres above sea level, Calgary receives intense UV radiation — even through windows. This fades paint colours faster than lower-altitude cities. Quality paint and proper application extends the life of your finish significantly.

Extremely Dry Air

Calgary is one of the driest major cities in Canada. Low humidity causes paint to dry out and become brittle, leading to cracking and flaking — especially in older homes. Choosing the right paint formula for dry climates makes a noticeable difference.

Resale Value in a Competitive Market

Fresh interior paint is consistently rated the highest ROI home improvement before selling. In Calgary's real estate market, updated paint — done right with clean edges and proper colours — can meaningfully impact how fast a home sells and at what price.

How We Work

Our Painting Process

The prep is what makes the paint job. We don't skip it.

01

Prep & Protection

Furniture moved or covered, floors protected, fixtures masked off. We protect your space before we touch a wall.

02

Surface Repair

Holes filled, cracks addressed, surfaces sanded smooth. Paint only looks good if what's underneath is right.

03

Taping & Priming

Edges taped precisely, primer applied where needed — especially on patches, repairs, or dramatic colour changes.

04

Painting

Minimum two full coats applied evenly, with proper dry time between coats. No single-coat shortcuts.

05

Touch-Ups & Cleanup

We inspect for any missed spots or imperfections, touch them up, and clean up fully before we leave.

Common Questions

Painting FAQ

A standard bedroom with two coats typically takes one full day including prep and dry time. Larger rooms, ceilings, trim, or significant colour changes take longer. We'll give you an accurate timeline with your estimate.

We can help move light furniture to the centre of the room or cover it in place. For heavy items or valuable pieces, we ask that you arrange to have them moved before we arrive. We'll remind you at booking.

We use quality interior latex paints suited for Calgary's dry climate. We can work with paint you've already purchased, or we can source and supply it — whichever is most convenient. We'll always recommend the right finish (flat, eggshell, satin) for each surface.

Most interior latex paints are dry to the touch within 1–2 hours and ready for light use within 24 hours. Full cure takes about 2–4 weeks. We'll give you specific guidance based on the paint used and Calgary's current humidity.

We're happy to offer suggestions based on the space, lighting, and your style — but we're not interior designers. If you want professional colour consulting, we'd recommend pairing our work with a colour consultant. For most projects though, a trip to your local paint store with some swatches covers it.
